1. Collection of Personal Information
a. The Corporation collects personal information from a variety of sources, including members of the public, advertisers, listservs, contractors and business partners.
b. In general, the personal information the Company collects includes (but is not limited to) name, address, contact details, drivers’ licence, passport and, where relevant, financial information, including credit card information, banking details and income information.
c. The Company stores the personal information you enter on the Website. Most personal information is collected by the Company through the registration process on the website described above. You may, however, provide information through a variety of different means (for example if you contact the Company via email, respond to a survey published on the website or third-party survey used by the Company, or answer questions asked by staff or agents of The Company over the phone).
d. The Website uses cookies that contain information by which the Company can identify your computer (or other devices you use to access the website) to our servers and the servers of third parties contracted by the Company including, but not limited to, third parties providing analytical and advertising services. a. The Company may use your personal information for the purposes for which it is collected and for other purposes related to these purposes. The Company generally uses personal information to:
i. personalise and customise your experience on the website;
ii. assist the company in managing and improving its services;
iii. contact you by e-mail, SMS or phone; and.
iv. Provide you with ongoing information on opportunities on the Website that the Company believes may be of interest to you, via e-mail, SMS or phone.
3. Disclosure of Personal Information
The Company may use and disclose information relating to a user’s racial or ethnic origin, membership of political bodies, religion, membership of a trade union or trade association, sexual preferences, criminal record and health only for the purpose for which it was provided or a directly related secondary purpose or as allowed by law, unless the user has agreed otherwise.
4. Management & Security of Personal Information
a. The Company protects the personal information it holds from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure by various means including firewalls, password access, secure servers and data encryption.
b. The Company may retain any personal information you provide during your use of the Website, including, but not limited to, copies of identification documents, for a minimum period of 12 months after your last interaction with the website. After 12 months the Company will delete, or anonymise, on your request, specific personal information from the Company’s servers, files, and databases unless the Company is required by law to retain that information.
5. Accessing Personal Information
a. You have the right to request access to your personal information held by the Company and to inform the Company of any inaccuracies. The Privacy Act provides certain exemptions to that right.
b. If you request access, you will be asked to verify your identity and what information you need. The Company may charge you a fee to cover the costs associated with the satisfaction of your request.
6. Licence to use your information
a. Solely to enable the Company to use the information you supply, so that the Company do not violate any rights you have in that information, you agree to grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, fee-free right to exercise the copyright and other intellectual property rights you have in that information in any format (including, but not limited to, any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio).
b. You agree that the Company may use this content in any manner, now or in the future. The Company further reserves the right to refrain from using the content you submit.
c. You warrant that you have all of the necessary rights, including copyright, in the content you contribute, that your content is not defamatory and that it does not infringe any law within Victoria or Australia. You indemnify the Company against legal costs, damages and other expenses which may be incurred by the Company as a result of a breach of this warranty.
d. The Company will not use your information unless it complies with our Privacy and Personal Information Policy.
